Your water has a story. We help you hear it.
Whether you’re on city water or pulling from a well, what comes out of your tap isn’t the same as what your neighbor drinks. The right system depends on what’s actually in yours.
City Water
Treated. Not always clean.
Municipal water is treated to keep it safe — but the chemicals used to treat it don’t belong in your glass either.
- Chlorine taste and smell
- Disinfection byproducts
- Hard water scale on fixtures and appliances
- Lingering pipe-borne residue
Well Water
Yours alone. Yours to protect.
No one is testing well water but you. What’s in the ground around your home is what’s in your water.
- Sulfur or rotten-egg smell
- Iron staining on sinks and laundry
- Hardness that wrecks appliances
- Pesticide and runoff exposure
Three steps. Honest answers.
No high-pressure sales call. No mystery quote. The process is the same every time, because that’s the only way it works.

Jay started as a plumber. Twelve years in the trade, then nine more managing filtration for a national company in Florida. He bought Filter Tech in 2010 and has run it the same way ever since: test first, explain everything, and only recommend what the water actually needs.

The right system for the actual problem.
There’s no one-size-fits-all in water. Most homes need one or two of these — never all of them.

Plain answers, no jargon.
The questions we hear most often, the way we’d answer them on your back porch.
A whole-house system treats every faucet, shower, and appliance — it protects your pipes, your skin, and your machines. A drinking water system handles the final polish at one tap, usually the kitchen sink, for the water you actually drink and cook with. Most homes do best with both. We’ll tell you what yours needs.
Most water problems are invisible. Chlorine, dissolved iron, hardness, and bacterial byproducts don’t change how water looks. The only way to know what’s in your water is to test it. The good news: we do it for free, in your home, in about twenty minutes.
Filters trap things. Eventually they fill up. Without service, a loaded filter can start letting contaminants pass through or even feed them back into your water. Annual service keeps the system working the way it did the day it was installed — and we catch small problems before they become big ones.
Different problems need different solutions. A whole-house filter handles chlorine and sediment across the house, but it can’t strip the dissolved solids that affect taste — that’s a reverse-osmosis job. Stacking systems lets each one do what it’s best at, and it’s usually more cost-effective than asking one unit to do everything.
Cities treat water to make it safe — they use chlorine and other disinfectants to do that. Those chemicals do their job, but they don’t belong in your glass. City treatment also can’t do anything about what happens to the water between the plant and your house: old pipes, sediment, and pressure changes all leave marks.
About twenty minutes. We test for hardness, chlorine, iron, pH, total dissolved solids, and a few other markers depending on whether you’re on city or well. You see the numbers as we go, and we explain each one.
